After years of watching women defer to a male partner for financial decisions, Ann started CovingtonAlsina with the express goal of overcoming the “confidence gap” many women experience when it comes to investing and managing their money.
Ann has a background in accounting and is a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Private Wealth Advisor and is a licensed life and disability insurance agent.
Her firm is open to all clients, but she places special emphasis on assisting women with personal finances and running their own business. Her monthly roundtable discussions “Women, Wine & Wisdom” and “Second Saturday” Divorce Workshops offer both education, resources and encouragement.
Her weekly Monday Money Report podcast reaches over 13,000 regular subscribers offering a variety of money management tips, market assessments and insights to financing trends.
A lifelong student of history, Ann donates her time to a variety of causes preserving the rich history of Maryland’s state capital and maritime heritage. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Historic Annapolis and is active with the St. John’s College Mitchell Gallery, the all-Children’s Chorus of Annapolis and the Annapolis Maritime Museum.
