The Rising Star Student Entrepreneur Award, now in its forth year, was created in partnership with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship to highlight innovative and resourceful students already running their own businesses. 2019’s winner is Erica Szymanski, Erica Morgan Designs in Severna Park, nominated by Severna Park High School.

Erica will attend the University of Virginia this fall, plans to continue working on the business and launch a new ocean-themed children’s book
